Wow $2 cattle sure do bring out the sellers. Waited in line over 4hrs. Monday to get unloaded & been in line over 2hrs. this morning. It doesn't take long for the lines to stretch out. For the shortage of cattle that they say is driving the price everybody sure seems to be finding plenty to sell! Guess you get it while the gettings good. Just wish mine were at sale weight now.

I keep an eye on my local market reports each week, I'm holding what steers I've got until I see prices start to level off then I'm selling.

The price can change in a hurry, and not for best. I sold my last load a few weeks ago,
and very happy with the price.

I got 2 that can go end of next month but most of my calving will take place in June and July so I am wondering if I will still get these good prices when the calves are ready in winter.

i watch the calf prices but that really doesnt affect when we sell them.as sell when we have time to pen them.an hope they weigh 700lbs or more.as that seems to get us the most money.
