chevy 4.8 vortek?1500 good truck? no?seems to have more power than the reg 4.8?any one got any input

If your going to pull anything I wouldn't get less than a 350. A 1/2 ton pu aint much good for haulin.

Wife has a GMC with the 4.8 Vortec. It's all right we try to keep the load in the bed under 600#. Just not enough
torque with that motor. I think Vortec is just a catch Fraze
like the Power stroke. That Ford has, Just to tickle your
Ears.
She can get 20 1/2 to a gallon though.
