Just got a flyer in the mail today. I am going to guess this is VERY similar product to what they already offer?

http://vitaferm.com/products/vitaferm-heat/

(Front of flyer) - A vitamin and mineral supplement used to reduce heat stress during summer, especially in fescue pastures.

Contains Amaferm and Capsaicin, research proven to lower body temperature, which can help improve conception rates and maintain pregnancy. Also, includes garlic, a natural insect repellent.

Keeps cows grazing and improves pasture utilization and digestibility, resulting in optimal health and performance.

(Back of flyer) - A complete mineral and vitamin supplement, for beef cattle, formulated specifically for summer heat and fescue situations. Includes organic zinc, copper and added B-vitamins to help combat the negative effects of stress caused by heat, to support maximum animal performance.

Comparable products out their already offered?
Nothing new, just a new marketing push?

Thoughts, comments, etc.? TB?

ADM has something like that, but not in mineral, it's just a feed additive you can buy.
Suppose to dilate blood vessels to increase blood flow, and in turn lower internal temperatures. Lot of people feed it to show cattle in the summer time.
The stuff from ADM will make your eyes water in it's pure form.

I don't see a thing about it that would truly help with heat stress with the exception of the yeast products and the inclusion rate of the yeast in the mineral is probably at such a low rate it wouldn't help. I'd recommend plenty of cool, clean water and a shade tree and hope for a breeze.

That's a lot of "K". Tghe 2% is an elevated level. NRC recommendation is only 1% for lactating dairy cattle...3/4 that much for beef cattle even in times of stress.
