has anyone heard of or use a vinegar rinse on their cattle? there was a guy at a show last fall that used it but I don't know how much vinegar to use
thanks!

Yup, use it to cut excess soap out of their coat, gives a nice clean rinse and seems to deter flies too. I put some in a dish soap container and squirt a line of it across their back and rinse off.

We use 1/4-1/2 cup of conditioner with 1/2 cup vinegar mixed in 3 gallons of water. We completele wash and rinse the animal and then use the mix on them. We first dip the end of the tail and then stand behind them a pour it down their back and allow it to run down their sides. We DO NOT rinse this out. This is a sure fired way to return condition to their skin and also fend off dandruff.

The majority of the folks in our area use this method, especially on haired cattle.
