Vienna sausages

When I was a kid I would rather eat Vienna sausages than a beef steak, they tasted delicious to me back then.
Now they don’t taste nearly as good as they use too?
Maybe my taste buds have changed.
Has anyone else noticed this?

They definitely don't taste as good now, but I do know my taste have changed. I couldn't stand bourbon as a child.

yes!! They used to not be bad once you got past that nasty gob of gelatin on top. Open the can, stick the skinniest blade of your knife in, stab one thru the heart and eat em right off your knife.
Now they just taste like a tube shaped piece of potted meat, which I think is in a class of nastiness all it's own.

You ever tried 'em with a shot of bourbon poured in the can? Me neither, but it sounds good.

I use to eat them with bread when I was a kid, now I have to have a honey bun to eat them with, but being diabetic I can’t have that too often LOL.

I love to cut them up onto a tomato sandwich. One of the things I hate about this time of year, won't be long til the tomatoes are gone.

No way on the sticks of almost meat. Couldn't do it, but a can was like gold in the desert .....

I’m still all in on sardines in either mustard or hot sauce. Kipper snacks are good too.

Vienna sausages ain’t half bad but the texture could use some improvement.

We loved sardines so much me and my brothers would get a can in our Christmas stocking as kids. Sardines for breakfast can’t beat it.
