Saw the Vetgun at the Illinois Beef Expo last week. They had video playing of it being applied to a big herd of cows, I would think it's on their website too. Talked to one of our local dealers the other day, they are renting the gun out and selling the balls. The price they are renting the gun is very low too, worth it to me, being a small herd and not being able to make sense of the $250 gun. Said that the normal lasting effect is 6 weeks. I was also told the company is looking into other applications for the balls, i.e. worming, just waiting for approval. We will definitely be using this. Sounds too good to be true, but maybe it is.

I seen it on Cattleman to Cattleman and it looks very interesting but I wonder how well the repellent work's.

I've seen the welts that a paintball gun will put on humans, and I think this things pressure would have to be turned down as to not upset PETA. After you shoot a couple times I'm betting the cows will scatter. I would love to use one before I bought it though, it's a great idea.

The pressure is lower than a normal paintball gun, specifically to lessen the impact for sake of the animal, but still enough velocity for the ball to break

The ball been larger also helps with impact being absorbed in a larger circumference. Ball holds marking paint and dosage

KS - I talked to someone around here that said they work as advertised, and will definitely be using them again this upcoming summer

I really like the ideal. I amazes me that this ball will have enough in it treat a cow. Not to mention it sound pretty pricy. :tiphat:
