well i had to get eye surgery and im at home all day, so i thought id just post some pictures
of these different breeds that im quite fond of.
If anyone has any information on these different breeds id be happy to hear what you know(:
belted galloway: love their coloring.

brahman: i love his coloring.

charbray: whatre the highlights and lowpoints of this breed?

chianina: love the shear height of this breed.

highland: love their fluffy coats.

black welsh: just seems like a very refined breed, and ive never seen one in person.

dont like charbray never have,, to me those two dont complement each other,,, ""but"" put a charolais bull on some british/brahman F1 moma.... and now you talking... just gotta put em in the correct order where you get the most bang from the heterosis....a good cattleman here sold his whole herd of angus/brangus cattle and went strait oreo galloway said the meat marbles great... and you can cut it with the backside of a butter knife

Started with Galloways and switched to Herefords. They do not take heat well especially with humidity. Also up here they really need about 30 to marble well off grass. They are very moderate in size though.

Highlands need 36 months to finish on pasture and sales barns won't take em here with their horns. Hard to get rid of conventionally.

I have some of them charbray cows never had any problems.They raise heavy calves every time.

Those charbray calves sell good when they came from an angus bull.
6 weights brought a dollar 3 last week at the barn.
The problem I have with them (the cows) is they are normally just way to big.

The problem I have with them (the cows) is they are normally just way to big.

and alot of hard keepers... where the bra/herfs cows are lower maintenece and raise as good or better calf bred to charolais

Good luck finding any Chi's that look like that anymore... I don't remember the exact percentages, but basically anything that even has a hint of chi in it can be registered as a chi.

I don't believe it has to have a % anymore, if you can just produce a photo of one walking by your pasture will do.

Maybe you could cross a Brahman with a Black Welsh or a Highland and get a Brahman that could stand cold weather. I don't know what you would call it, but it sure would look funny!
