How often should cattle be dewormed? Do they reach a certain age wereby worming is no longer necessary? Sorry for the dumb questions...but I'm trying to learn and maintain a healthy herd.

Deworm
Vaccination protocol

and any other words similar.

You will read for weeks.

Everyone does it a bit differently - up to you to decide.

Ask your veterinarian for a protocol for your area - that is important.

I thought Vaccination and de-worm were two seperate topics.
You can give a shot, poor on, drench, or bolus for de-worming but you give a vaccination for desease prevention?

We de-worm twice a year.

bez and novatech answered your other but they do not reach a certain age when they dont need to be wormed. any age of any animal can get wormy. and theres no such thing as a stupid question.

Actually, mature cows can get "immune" to worms.
But, that said, I still deworm twice a year.

They may be two seperate topics but most folks do them both at the same time, kind of like wash and dry the dishes.
