I was supposed to vaccinate at the last week in September, had an emergency so move it to 2nd weekend in October because this was date my help could do. Helene came thru and took out lots of fence. Vaccination got put off. Tree removal and refencing and fence repair along the branch bottom line took priority. It took 3 people almost almost 4 weeks to get fence to where cows can't get out. Still got small pastures to do but there are ok for now. Vaccinatiom was then decided on was set for Nov 2nd. My helper and I went to help neighbor replace some tin damage on his house, finishing up my helper mis-stepped off ladder from 10 feet up and fell. I tried to catch him but he hit the ground. Long story shortened, had to move vaccination to this weekend, and get new helper. As of today, since last night we have 13" inches of water running across road from branch. Over 10 " of rain and still raining. Looks like vaccination now set for next weekend. If I can pull it off next weekend, I'll be almost 8 weeks past vaccination date. Can I get by with one round same as last year or must I give the follow up booster??? It about makes just get out of the cattle business, but whose gonna mow those pastures? lol. Question is,"one shot or two" (booster)
Vaccines to give:
Pasturella on pneumonia
Calvary 9
Cattlemaster gold

This is what they get yearly

You have pretty much a closed herd, don't you? Not buying and bringing in new cattle? No other cattle in adjoining pastures, etc? They will be fine with just the one round.
I have 3 heifer calves I bought back in April this year but they are across the road in another pasture. They are at least 30+ feet at closest point. They will move in with herd when I vaccinate. They have already been given :1731112007043.png
