Starting to plan a trip for July. Probably going to spend about 10 days in the northeast US. Will be traveling up I-81 through VA, seeing some of the Amish country in PA and sometime during the trip seeing Niagara Falls and spending a couple of days in Canada. Any suggestions on what else to see. Not going to be on much of a schedule so anything will be considered.
Yes Jeannie-Simmy Valley, watch out we might sneek through your way.

Don't hold your breath Jeanne I have been hearing that song and dance for close to 2 yrs now :cowboy:

Swing by Hershey Pennsylvannia if you don't mind. I think there you will find some excellent gifts for your friends on CT. I understand they have a 5 lb Hershey Bar. One of those would do just fine.

AC, I am going to supprise you any weekend now. Just waiting for you to have a lot of work to do.
Would really like to work cows while i am there.

I always have alot of work to do! it is a fulltime job trying to keep the wife busy and make sure she don't run out of work :cowboy:

Jo, would you believe my wife went to Hershey last year with a women's group and I did not even get any candy. Must have been one of the first stops and she ate it before she got home.
AC, Maybe you need a break. Could i boss her a few days? My wife doesn't take orders very well and I am getting out of practice.

Heck I might be losing her to Jed we was driving yesterday and went by some plowed fields and she said she wanted to go down to Jeds and disc for him just so she would know what good dirt looked and smelled like
told him about that and he said she could come work for him anytime. he probably pays better than me

Chocolate has a powerful effect on women. Hershey is on my Bucket List. My wife and I were talking about it today.

Now boys, I gotta tell ya, we all hear this talk about women and chocolate, but in my circle of friends and family, I've noticed it's the MEN who really go crazy for it - they're just closet chocoholics. I guess they think it makes them womanly or something, but they won't discuss it; they just make a bee-line for the chocolate desserts and leave a pile of wrappers where the chocolate candy used to be.

Sorry to hijack your post, KT. Hope you have a safe and happy trip!

I don't know if your going to NY but the Smithsonian is really cool. I was a kid when I went but I hear its still amazing. I allways
wanted to go to the Adirondacks. I would like to see some of the camps there. Enjoy your trip. Peace.

I visited several of the Smithsonian museums last month. They will knock your socks off, but there were so many school groups at Natural History and American History, it sucked some of the fun out of the experience. I wonder if weekends would be more pleasant.

KT - come on up!!! we're only 10 minutes off I-81, would LOVE to have you visit. Let me know ahead of time & you can plan on "motel-ing" here. Nothing fancy, but you would have a clean bed.
PM me & I'll give you my cell phone. No land line, so you won't find it listed anywhere.
You should take a wine tour - lots available all over.

AC, she would not be happy here. Almost all rock with a little dirt in between.
Thanks but no thanks Jed. I have been within 50 miles of your place in July, 2008. Too much heat for an old mountain man. Was there in January and again in Feburary in 2006 and that was ok.
Jeannie, I will let you know when we decide the dates and we will for sure stop by. Get the bulls looking good and we might do some trading.
