I've been looking at the UTV's, over a quad. Just think it would be more user freindly to work out of. Anyone here have one?? What make is it, and do you like it??? What should someone be looking for when purchasing??And if you could what options do you wish you would have added?? Kris

There's nothing quite as handy as a Kawasaki Mule 3010.

This subject has been beat around quite a few times, but the Mule is just my 2 cents worth. can haul up to 800 lbs. of weight, and makes chores a lot easier. I use our's all winter long, to haul Feed to the Bunks, comes in real handy checking fences, Cows, etc.

I'll second the Mule. None of ours ae the new francy 3010, but they are indispensible. We're still in the process of clearing downed trees and the mule hauls our 5X10 trailer loaded with wood and branches, etc. without tearing up the wet pasture as much as just one trip across it with the truck. It's also easier to get on and off as you don;t have to try to swing your leg over it. At the end of the day, many trips on and off and that seat gets pretty high to get your leg over.

I'll 3rd the Mule.

Had mine about 6 years and the only thing I have done is put brushes in the starter.

i have a Land Pride. The independent front suspension makes it ride like a dream across rough pasture. The 4wd works great.
The bed electrically dumps and is heavy duty steel. Bought it from my John Deere dealer instead of a Gator because it has a bench seat which I prefer

I like the Mules,no trouble with mine yet, especially like the bench seat and dump bed................good luck
PS Haul everthing from cow dogs to fencing tools

I have a Yamaha Rhino and I love it. I have 1500 miles on it and the only thing I have done is change the oil. Yamaha could put metal skid plates and different plastic on the hood because it fades easily. It runs 42mph and I easily pull a 16ft trailer with 4 rolls of hay on it out to the cows.

I'm gonna vote for the Mule also. I've owned, rode, and had dealings with them all. For my personal use, I feed out of it twice a day, I hunt out of it hard, my dog box fits perfect in the bed, as does everything I need to haul around for the farm. I'm not afraid for young kids to get on it and ride around the farm site seeing. It'd be mighty hard for me to check my fences, cows and other stock running 40+ mph? Just this past weekend I got to pull my neighbors Rhino (with same tire package as mine) out of a creek while the other neighbors new Kubota sat on the hill? I'll admit, the Rhino had to get me out of the same creek, we do use them around here. The 3010 Mule had more than enough power to spin the 27" tires (if needed) while pulling, while the Rhino left some serious doubt. We do use them around here everyday. CCF

P.S. Forgot to mention the most important thing, The wife loves it! Grin

milesvb,
The top is a OM part from Kawasaki. The part number is KAF25-036AC. It has the acrylic back window in it. I don't think it's really noticeable in the picture. It will work with the windshields but must be taken off if transporting on an open trailer. I need a good windshield but haven't found one I like. I don't really like the Kawasaki windshield. One of the good things about this type top, it stores easily rolled up in the front storage compartment. We like riding without it when it's nice out. CCF
