Here is a snippet from the article. ☹️

The United States is the most medicated country in the world, according to The National Center for Health Statistics, where antidepressants are typically provided for those under 60 and where an estimated 50% of the population uses prescribed medications.

In fact, in America, even fish are quite literally swimming in a tidal wave of antidepressants. The Florida International University and the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust conducted a study by gathering tissue and blood samples from tarpon and bonefish on the coast of Florida.

These doctors will handout anything and most people will take it. I recently went to an ear, nose throat specialist (ear problems after being sick) and as soon as I got home, I researched everything he prescribed. No way I will use/take all the crap he prescribed. I am feeling fine now and sure glad I did not take all the dangerous drugs prescribed. I don't trust none of them.

My previous job just about everybody there was on something to help with the stress. Doc asks me if I wanted anything for stress and I told him I would quit the job before taking that crap. After those staff took the psychotropic drugs for a while their cholesterol went through the roof and I don't know if it ever came down. There must be a connection.

All those drug ads on TV.... "ask your doctor if such-and-such is right for you!" And the spaghetti brained people say, "OH! That must be what I need," and they go get it. The doctors don't care, because it shuts up the complaining patient. Never a further thought from either of them. And if one doctor won't prescribe something, another one will. I mean, really, the drug companies wouldn't want them to take anything they didn't need, would they? Or anything that was (God forbid) DANGEROUS. (Sarcasm over for the time being...)

But really, doesn't anyone ever listen to the side effects? Scary as hell, and that's only part of them. I would NEVER ask for one of those. I wouldn't go to a doctor, either, unless I was unconscious and someone dragged me there.

Not sure how it is anywhere else, but those drug ads here are almost always followed by a Johnny Walker, Makers Mark or Jose Cuervo commercial...............

(there does seem to be, an unusually high % of drug ads for HIV drugs and the people depicted in the ads make me kinda want to vomit)

I blame the whole insurance racket on the over medication. Got a little splinter in your butt, go to the doctor he will give us a drug for that. What's the harm, we don't have to pay for it; the insurance will pay for it.

My ex wife thrived on it; she was so proud of herself when she found something wrong with herself or our son. It was look at me, I'm such a great mother, see what I found wrong with my kid. She was also one who had a mini pharmacy in her purse. Her pain management doctor had her on one drug where she was seeing bugs crawling on the walls, the shower door needed to be broken because it was evil.
