Since this is my daughter's first year showing beef in 4-H I would like to take her to a show or two before fair time (second week in Sept).
I have checked the Arkansas Cattleman's website for shows close by and there is one coming up in August. I tried to check Oklahoma and Missouri as well but I guess I am not looking in the right spots.
If anyone knows of fairs or shows coming up in the next month that I can take her to watch please let me know.
We aren't afraid to learn by trial and error but a little observation couldn't hurt.
My boss is a great mentor but... shhh... he gets a little carried away sometimes and forgets I know less about what we're doing here than he's forgotten.
And like a bunch of the rest of you I believe in showing off what you raise. When I was growing up there was this family that showed in every major species. The only animal they actually bred were horses. Everything else they tried to buy from the breeder who judged the show the year before. Almost every year they stole the show.
Thanks
