Underwater camera

Im looking at trying to purchase an underwater camera for mostly use in ponds and smaller rivers. Dont want to spend over $150 because it won't be used a lot. Anyone use them? Seems they are used more for ice fishing.

All the reasonable priced ones i have found are sold by foreign companies. It flags an alert when i tried to order one. So im back to looking.

Are you wanting one that you can use from the surface or are you going to use it while you are underwater?

Most of the cheaper ones are going to be Chinese knock offs. Most will probably work fine. Fish Pro has a basic camera pretty cheap.

I cant swim so would be using it from the bank or a small boat.

The one I linked probably won't work for casting from shore. AquaVu makes one made for casting and trolling, they call it a lure camera. They're one of the original fishing camera companies, so I would expect its quality to be decent.


Edit: for whatever reason the link isn't working. Maybe its been discontinued.

Go Pro's are waterproof up to a point and they also make a waterproof housing.
