Sent my camera off to get fixed. Got a notice by e-mail that they received it and would let me know about how much it will cost to fix it.
Got another e-mail telling me to contact the company by 6/30 or they will be sending my camera back unrepaired. :? That was Sunday morning.
Called them today because their office is not open on the weekend. Was told that I had called them on Friday and that they had given me the estimate then. Huh? Nnnnoooo. I was 15 miles from home in a dead zone on a tractor all day Friday.
The guy finally told me that it would cost $118.00 to fix my camera.
He had great delight in telling me they needed my money order by tomorrow or they will send me my camera back.
Ran into town got the money order and found out that there is no way I could get it there overnight even if I wanted to pay the $18.00 shipping cost. Was told by the guy to call him back and let him know the tracking number so they would know when to expect it.
Called the company back and while waiting for an operator to pick up my call waiting started beeping. I answered it.
Here is a different guy from the same company letting me know that it will cost $91.00 to fix the camera. No he does not need the tracking number and they hold items to be repaired for 5 days, if waiting for payment. :devil2: :devil2: :devil2:
Asked him if there were two of us with the same name who sent in the same camera to be repaired? He comfirmed my address, so I know that it is mine. They are going to send me a check for over the amount needed to fix my camera.
Makes me wonder if it would have just been easier to have tossed the dang thing and bought a new one. :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:

ILH - this right here is one of the reasons why I am a HUGE fan of the disposable camera. :D I am sorry for your hassle factor.

You Know??? All these people are, are middle men for all the CRAP made in China.  :frowns:

I didn't know that anyone had cameras repaired anymore. Thought you threw them away if they didn't work and were not under warranty...
