Our cow with the twin as quiet a bit of udder edema. On a scale of one to 10, I would rate it a 6 or 7. How have others dealt with it in the past? I don't know whether to give her more time for it to resolve on its own or seek treatment for her. We have some banimine. Do you think it would help?

Is she milking adequately for the calves? If she is and she's not so uncomfortable that she's pushing the calves away from nursing, as Jeanne used to say "A tincture of time" will resolve the problem. If she doesn;t have enough milk and/or she's pushing the calves away, get a diuretic from the vet. There is an injectable I think it's Lasicks (not sure of the spelling) that will do wonders. Banamine won;t do squat

Dun, is it Lasix you're thinking of?

I decided to not be lazy and I looked it up on the medications. That's the stuff.
