Every time the subject of off brand tractors comes up, I'm quick to say don't buy one. Availabilty of parts and resale value probably my two biggest hold ups. With that said, there's a TYM 603, 4wd, FEL, cab tractor for sale, that looks like a brand new baby for sale cheap. I need a second loader tractor, and I've never had the luxury of a cab. Remind me again not to buy it.

One sat at a dealer here "Cox tractor" I believe the same model 4x4 with a loader with the rear end strip out. The dealer said the guy tried to make a bulldozer out of it. At the time it was a slow fix, but that has been a while...A lot of the models are the same as Mahindra s...For the right price might be worth it.....Bigfoot said:

From what I hear - no personal experience - the LS, TYM, and Mahindra's are good for what I assume people on here would consider light to medium work. They'll do hay and general chores fine. They don't do well with heavy work and abuse that an older rig or a name brand will put up with.

We have a dealer or two around that sell and service Tyms. Rural King as well, they also service them there. A friend bought a smaller one for his wife to use around the farm. Last I asked him they really liked it.
For the right price I’d buy one. Though I rarely sell anything so the resale value isn’t important to me. To others it could be a concern.
