Two questions

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the Cline grass in my Castal fields without killing off the Coastal as well? I've said something about this to a couple of people and they said that I'd have to just Round-Up the whole place and start over. I've got a decent stand of Coastal but the Cline is gaining.

MikeC mentioned Russel Bermuda in his post and it got me to wondering if anyone up north is using Coastal or Tifton 85 in their pastures and hay fields.Z

what do u call up north? I am by the Red River and have coastal. It also is grown all along the north side (OK side) of the river.
Over the last 30 years we have had our coastal hurt quite a bit by freezes. I have found if I leave it about 6" tall going into winter it doesn't freeze out so easily. Also potash makes it more cold hearty.
