I'm giving turnips a try this year for a little extra fall/winter forage for the cows. Of course, it has rained consistently all summer and now that I have planted the stuff, no rain is forecasted for the next 2 weeks.
I have alfalfa starting to come up that i planted Wednesday. On firm ground with moisture under the seed your turnips should come up, especially with the cool nights and heavy dew.
