We were driving around checking out my sons ipt work when we came across these 2 hens with a pile young birds. They were out feeding across the pasture. That pasture hasn't been sprayed with herb in 3 years. It was grazed early in the year and got some decent regrowth but has stalled due to the dry conditions. Moderate grass and some weeds make for great turkey habitat.

We broke up 3 nests and killed 2 hens mowing hay this year . Thought we were being careful by waiting late to cut . Wrong!
