trucking songs

Eleven long haired friends of Jesus in a shartruse micro bus------My favorite line in a trucker song.

Those are both great songs. I used to hear those and all the other trucking songs pretty often listening to WWL radio late night out of New Orleans with Dave Nemo and the Road Gang. You could pick up WWL 1000 miles away after midnight when they amped up the power. Here's one of my favorites-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=7Njc3HpXV70 how do you get it to show the video like you'r post
Right above the blank space where you're writing a post you'll see B....Quote...Code.....URL....YouTube. Click on the YouTube and in the blank space where you write your post you'll get something that looks like this [youtube][youtube]. Then copy only the part of the link you have above that says 7Njc3HpXV70. Paste it in the middle of it between the two youtubes. That'll do it!

man you just cant beat those truck driving songs.got dropp kicked back to the 70s with 2 of them.in roll on big momma there was a truck that looks like the 1 gregg evangan drove in bj an the bear.an of course you just cant beat will an sonny in moving on loved their W925 kenworth.

They used 2 trucks in the movie 73 and 74KW 925 vit with a 10 speed road ranger with a cummins VT903 325hp.
I was driving a 73kw 925 at the time and had the chance to look over the 74 used in the movie.
Ran on to a driver at the 76 truck stop in Ontario Calif who was taking the truck to Colorado to do some filming.
Being a truck driver at the time I often thought ,they sure couldn't have made much money trucking what with so many delays and goofing around.
Don't know the truth of it but I heard that one of them sold at an auction for $600,000 and is still up in Wyoming somewhere.

Good one AC. I liked plenty of chrome but didn't go for lighting my rig up like a Christmas tree.
Hard enough just to keep the legal lights burning.

My mom ran the restaurant at the Union 76 truckstop in Strafford Mo on I-44 for several yrs I grew up on truck driving songs
One of my favorites when I was a kid was Teddy Bear by Red Sovine

I have stopped at that 76 a bunch. Starting in 1969 up to 1983.
Didn't care for the scale house down the road from it though
I liked all of Red Sovine songs esp Phantom 309.
