Answer: Boxing.


Question #2.
Answer: Niagara Falls. The rim is worn down about 2 and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.

Answer: Asparagus and rhubarb



Question #4.
Answer: Ten times (not eleven, as most people seem to think).

Answer: Baseball.

Answer: Strawberry.

Answer: The pear grew inside the bottle. The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the whole growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

Answer: In Minnesota. The team was originally known as the Minneapolis Lakers, and kept the name when they moved west.
 
Off the top of my head I am pretty sure # 10 is the lakes in Minnesota. I believe that is where the Lakers started.

#2 Don't know if it is a great Landmark. but the Red River is the only river flowing North.

Common misconception
Many rivers flow north from their southern beginings until they end many miles north of the point of origin.
Several in Ark and the Mo Ozarks do
Pomme De Terre, and the Niangua are two
I had this same discussion with a wonderful friend of mine from SD. He did not believe it until I took him floating on both :)
