It is real scary, peg4x4. It never ceases to amaze and frustrate me how so many people are against this but the govn'mt is going to do it anyway. Perry said the other day that while the town meetings on this indicated opposition, he is going forward with the plan b/c no one offered a solution.

How about this solution - expand I35 and get the feds to help pay for it.

You can bet it'll effect the way I vote. But what scares me is those politicians that flip flop and say they are against something and then when they get in office they suddenly decide they are for it.

In the sixties Lake Keystone was put in and cost my family about 3500 acres of bottom farm ground. The gov does not care as long as it is 4 "public welfare". They will pay u bottom dollar for ur land and tell u there is no other choice. Every time I go down I35,I40,orI44 I wonder how many farmers had their homesteads cut in half to build em

We've even signed petitions against it there is one proposed path that would go right through our land that has been in the family for generations and probably take out the house. Another path would take out one of our other pastures.
