I went to see a trainer friend of mine this weekend. He showed me bruises and scrapes on his chest and arms. I asked what happened. He said, "I was trying to clip that little filly there, I did one side of her head and face but when I started to go around to the other side she attacked me".
Seems she reared up and pawed him, hit him in the shoulder, stayed on her rear feet and hit him in the chest and knocked him down. She then went after him on the ground and he managed to roll out of the way and avoid further injury.
She was brought to him because she won't let anyone trim her rear feet or clip her. He thought he had her going the right direction but from the sound of it I guess not.
So keep your guard up especially around horses to have known problems.
