trailer lights

[Millerranch]

I have a 08 dodge diesel truck. I have 3 different trailers. The brake lights, turn signals, and flashers work on all the trailers. BUT at night when I turn on my truck lights, the trailer lights do not come on. The brake lights, turn signals, and flashers still work, but the running lights do not come on. Any ideas on this?

There is a wire just for the running lights. Check on the truck end and see if it is wired in.

What type of connector is coming off your truck? 4,6,or7 way? I'd start with the fuses. An 08 Should have different fuses for trailer lights v/s truck lights.

The trailers are 4 wire. I have plugged them into the 4 wire plug and also the adapter for the 7 pin plug. Neither work. They used to work like 2 months ago. Now nothing.

It was fuse 15. Replaced it, everything works great.

For the moment.... there may be a reason the fuse was blown. ;-) Check for shorts.
