This is my bull Lex Lugar. he is 5 yrs old and is a pure bred simmental. He is also double polled and heterozygous black.

I was wondering if i should sell my 1/2 of him(since i co-own him with my grandpa) back to my grandpa or trade out my 1/2 of him for this Braford heifer. She is purebred and is about 5 to 6 months old. she is the big red one in the center.

Judging by the condition of the bull, he doesn't get along too well in your climate. I'd say the Braford'll do you better in the long run.

as long as you are talking about the heifer on the right side of the picture and not the middle, that's a good question.

will you have another bull to use? i imagine you already have that figured out.

as long as you have a bull to use, i think the heifer would be decent. honestly, the bull looks pretty tired and at least hungry.

I also like the heifer to the far right. The one in the middle looks quite lean in the hind end, although, it could be the angle.

good call. i didnt really look him over, but was just sure i didnt like the one in the middle.

How much is your grandpa going to give you for your half of the bull? I would take the money and try to get a nicer heifer than what is in the picture.

Depends on rather you are just trying to help out your Grandpa financially but if not I would opt for my half of the bull in cash and spend it were it best suits your herd development.

Yes the one on the right is a boy heifer. but i really don't want to sell my 1/2 of him because i don't know how my grand pa is doing on that side of the line. Sorry no i don't have any pictures of Lex's calves on me. and yes we have 10 other bulls we can use. The angle of the picture wasn't to great but thats the only one that i got of her from 30 minutes of chasing all those calves around. :roll: There are a few others that i'm now considering trading for but sorry no pictures of them either.
