total digestible nutrients?

I had a cattle feed sampled by Clemson Univ. and the report said the feed was 74.1% total digestible nutrients. Can anyone explain this to me, what are total digestible nutrients?

Whether or not it's good, average or poor depends on what it is and what you're comparing it too, I s'pose. Check out this link for a table that will allow you to compare it with some other common feeds:
