Texas Panhandle On US 83
Well, we had some very nasty weather in our area of Texas Panhandle last nite. About 30 miles South of us, Childress had a tornado. Weather was extremely unstable here in Wellington...lasted about 2-2.5 hours.

We lost our hay barn and have some debris from one end of property to another...probably about 4-6, sixteen foot utility trailer loads. Found a pole impaled at 45 deg angle next to our round pen.

Fortunately, none of our cattle or horses or other structures were damaged or killed.

Guess our insurance is about to pay off! Now if we can just get a reliable contractor to do debris removal and build us a new barn.

It's that time of year!

been a crazy spring we had more hail this year than i can remember in my lifetime total. dodging tornados most that normally come across ala, have went north. sorry to hear about your damage

Bill,

Watch that insurance company! They'll try to sell you out on replacing barn.

The storm missed us by many miles but we saw the anvil clouds clear down here and the light show was pretty good too. I knew it had to be bad. Went in and turned on Channel 4 and sure enough, it was bad.

Sorry you got caught in this one. Glad you didn't fare any worse. Barns can be replaced.
