Two 628 lb. heifers black with blaze faces brought .86 cents per lb.
One purebred black white face heifer weighing 515 brought 1.00 per lb.
One solid black bull weighing 515 brought 1.0450 per lb.
Been a good long while since we have sold something that cheap. Got rid of some mouths anyway. Felt as though it's just gonna get cheaper.

I watched them sell at Mid-Tex for a while yesterday, and that sounds about the same as they were there. Not many calves brought $1.00.

I could kick myself for watching a nice 650# Hereford heifer go through for 86¢ without raising my hand. Then again, I didn't see any more that I was tempted to bid on, and I'm not sure I'd want to fool with just one.

I think I bid on all three of your heifers. Didn't get any of them though, the guy I was buying for thought they would keep getting cheaper. Did you watch the big herd of cows sell over there?

I did stay for the sale watched from the beginning to until I knew the calf check was ready. I should have paid more attention to whom was bidding on them and maybe I could have matched a face to the username Ojp6. I'm sure I saw you and probably wasn't to far from you. Also thanks for bidding. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they aren't cheaper next week.

Those cows were pretty up and down and not much quality that I saw. They sold decent for what they were I thought. Some of those 6-7 year old pairs with small babies bringing 1450-1625 seemed pretty high for the quality of cows they were.

I agree the quality of the cows didn't look like much. I told dad I wouldn't have any of those pairs. Some of the babies looked good but their momma's not so much. Not very good udders for newborn and young calves.

Look like I should have waited and sold yesterday. Looks like the pen that brought .86 cents sold for 1.08 p/lb. yesterday. The 515 lb. heifer that brought 1.00 p/lb. her pen brought 1.0150. The bull calf his pen looked to be the only one that sold for less he would have brought 1.04. The head count in the first pen I think is what made the difference. Last week when I sold I think that pen had 38 head this week it just had 17. There appears to be more bidder's on smaller head count pens.
