A few of my cows love tomatoes and when I find cracked or over ripe tomatoes in the garden, I chuck them over the fence for them.

But the other day when pulling the actual tomato plants out for the season, I thought.......Can cattle eat tomato plants? (this way I know for the future)

Tomatos are in the nightshade family, I don;t think I'ld be feeding the vines to anything but the compost pile.

There are a few buyers at our local auction that are grazing cattle on the tomato fields. Not sure the exact stuff there doing but there feeding a lot of cattle on the tomato fields. We always threw our plants in the cattle pastures.
