We now have 4 babies born in the last 2 days. They are all in the barn, and will stay there until it warms up or we have no choice to start moving them out. Hopefully the rest of the cows will hold on for just another couple days before letting loose!

The 2 older calves are in the same pen at the moment. There's enough room there, and we want to keep our 'maternity' pen as clean as possible. The little white faced calf is out of a heifer, we had to give her a hand because it had one hoof up above its nose, otherwise I think she would have had it by herself. The big cow in the corner spent the last 18 hours in the barn. Took her forever to finally calve, she wanted outside. Unfortunately that wasn't an option for her, its still below -20C right now...

Here it's lightly snowing (an inch on the ground) and about freezing. Hopefully for you they do hold on to them a little longer and the weather doesn't get worse in that time!
