Took 12 Char/Angus Steers to the sale today.

Calves averaged 503 at 1.23

I had hoped to get 1.30, and I thought would weigh a bit more.

Oh well :roll:

Yealings are selling real well up here, like 800 weights are around 110. :shock:

7-8 weights paid real well here last Sat.
Saw some 5+ weights hit 1.32.
But saw more that didn't come close.
The best buy was a yellar heifer calf 165 lb.s for $185.
Just didn't get my hands out of my pockets quick enough.

Small feeders are getting scarce and the price of the big boys has actually gained over the past few weeks...
Going to have a look at some repalcements tomorrow...will see how the sale batrn has effected private treaty sales. Dmc

The price of bred cows and heifers has droped up here.
Mixed 800 weight heifers bred to black bulls to calve in season, sold for 750. to 800 per head. For those that have the feed there's money to be made.
