Went to the aution today. My brother culled out some cows becouse of the shortage of feed. 1300 lb cows brought from 46 to 49$

I'm thinking of selling some late calvers as pairs to save on feed and to buy hay.

Lots of pairs sold today, Good young black and baldie cows with black calves brought tops 985$ per pair. Good red and mixed pairs 7 to 850. Wow if a guy had feed what a opportunity to make money.

Our pasture is gone and hay in short supply, and very expensive, what do you do?

I never thoght I would wish I was in MN, But what a time to buy if you could.

Didn't realize the drought had hit MN. It is still bad down here in Texas although we had some rain in June and July. The cattle market is still strong but hay is as high as a cats back and in strong hands. When things turn around there should be good demand for those pairs you mention are selling so cheap. The question is when?
