Dun, if you're any Thing like him he must have been a good man. I hope to be as good a man as my dad some day. And I will add that the greatest people on earth were born in August. :D

That means he must have had you when he was 10, correct?

3 out of 4 of my grandparents would have been 100 this year.

Mine would have been 97 next month.
That was one tough generation.
When we lost the leadership of that generation the country started going downhill.
It didn't matter if they were democrat or republican they lived through WWI, Depression, WWII, Korean Conflict.
They had common values and morales and what was best for America.
They took us from horse and buggy to a man on the moon.
We lost a lot when we lost that generation.

That sure is the truth! I was blessed to know a lot of people from that generation and even one from the generation before that. My grandmother raised me and she would be turning 100 next month if she were still here. They just had such a work ethic and good morals overall.

Did you ever sit and ponder why subsequent generations changed so much? The ywanted their kids to have it better then they did so they still taught them values and a work ethic the still gave thme mot thren they had had. Then the next generation followed suit till you have the kids you have tday

And that's the gospel truth.
