I have a 4600 we bought used.I came with 7.50-16 fronts and 16.9-30 rears. It's time for new fronts. The tractor has always looked higher in the front to me.I'm wondering if I could put 6.50 -16 on the front and help. Not so worried about appearance but the drawbar has always looked too low to the ground.Maybe I've just gotten used to taller tractors.
Any ideas?
It does not have a loader and no plans to put one on it.

The bigger the tire, the less they fall into ground hog holes. Though we don't have nearly as many whistle pigs as we used to here, the prairie poodles seem to have a taste for dark meat.

I still have the I&T Manual for when I had a 4600. Could go out and check but you can put what you want on the front. Books for my Fords, 2000, 3000 and 3910 list from 5.50-16 up to 7.50. I wouldn't have a problem at all doing what you want to do. If you want to load up the front end with heavy things, go with the larger tires. If not run the small ones and your tire manufacturer www should show you the change in OD per width change to get your height where you want it. If that doesn't work for you, go to your tire dealer with a ruler and go through his stock. It's worth your time as the H-W ratio remains the same....76 or whatever the number so wider are larger in diameter.

Maybe the rears are wrong,,,,

Someone put AT tyres on my old Inter, means the steering aint so good if you have wet grass etc , but it is probably lighter to turn :)
