I realize it's a Kawasaki "mule", but I just came back in from the pasture and the "mule" is covered with ticks.

dun, I just got back from the pasture and the fescue and bluegrass seed heads are shedding seed. The timothy and orchard grass are still about 4 days out. No ticks. :D

Here to only thing shedding seed already is brome. The fescue and OG aren;t far from it though. Bluegrass has already died out for the summer. No rain and high temps seems to really affect it and the brome.

I'll take ticks over chiggers. I'm covered in chigger bites and I wear jeans belt height top boots every day. It's getting to where I can't find any normal skin.

Worst year ever for chiggers. They're eating us alive. Poor grandsons too! We got through chiggerEx like it is going out of style.

Haven't had a single tick in a few years. They tell me the fire ants wiped them out.

Lots of ticks and chiggers here. Scratching like crazy and feel like my pants are crawling. Should't have walked through the pasture this morning before work.
