I live on a reservation here in Montana... The children look forward to what is called their "18 Money"... That is that when the Indian kids turn 18 years of age, the (our) federal government gives to them $40K.... Does this happen on the reservations near any of you?

Don't get me started on that. I have a step daughter who is all of 1/8 Indian. She has a degree from Dartmouth College and spends her time working for grant monies in one or another Indian organization. None of these jobs actually involves contact with any actual Native Americans. For example, she now lives in San Francisco. I realize that there are Pacific tribes, but really. She tans to make herself look more Indian.

It amazes me.
