... and hogs. Been shredding this past week and have racked up quite a bit of damage. Starting off the door handle fell off and I have been having to tie it off. Then it looks like some bolts rattled loose and broke the bracket that holds the pto shaft. When it came off it cut a hydraulic hose. Have the hose on back to get replaced this morning. Got the bracket welded back up yesterday and put all new bolts in so I could run. Couple hours later I hung and old oak stump cut off at the ground as I was making a turn and it folded the deck up far enough for the blades to hit. Hopefully I got it shut down in time to not ruin the clutches on that side. To top it off... my fajitas are sore from bouncing thru that rough mess. :x

Where I screwed up is I took a day to clean the tractor and shredder up, grease every thing, sharpened the blades... then all this happened. No good dead goes unpunished. :bang:

yup, I have a flail mower and I'm always fixin' on it.

Put a piece of pipe between the top ears of the PTO bracket with a bolt through it, that'll stiffen it a lot..

guard damage.. well.. I'd just chop that piece off and weld a new piece in (some other time)

When I work on fixing that side Ill cut a little piece of pipe to slide in there. I did add another bolt up high hoping that would help. Thanks Nesikep.

Next days off Im probably going to cut out the bent bent part and weld another plate on the side with the skids. Its supposed to have a ski type deal along the bottom that helps it from grabbing like it did but it had gotten tore up already.

That door is going to be a mess. One tack weld broke and the frame for the latch broke on the other side so part is still attached to the door frame. If I had a wire feed welder or some thing I could attempt it. Not sure what I am going to do now. Might have to look at taking the door off and taking it some where.
