Well if there was any doubt about the deer being in the rut, it just ended. I went out to the hay yard to get a bale. There was 6 deer out there who pretty much ignored me as I was on the tractor. A spike buck bred a doe not more 40 yards from me as I drove by with a bale on the tractor. This morning there had been 10 deer and a high horn bigger buck. I guess he left too soon.
