As expected, the Astros came out swinging. Verlander took a no hitter 5 1/2 innings, Astros had 12 hits & 4 home runs (including back to back HRs) to pound the Indians 7-2.

My pick is Astros and Red Sox to advance.

One of the many things I like about that game is the fact that, in this era of record-setting numbers of strikeouts, the Astros had more home runs than strikeouts in that game.

And then in game two Gerrit Cole became the second player in MLB history to have 12 or more strikeouts with no walks in a playoff game.

7th and 8th innings were just flat fun to watch!
(not so much if you're a Cleveland fan, but if you're from Cleveland, you still got the Browns)

Well, THAT sucked.
8 runs on 9 hits (5 runs, including a grand slam-- in top of the 8th alone) is about as efficient as the BoSox could ask for.
Houston bats...................silenced.
Houston post season home run streak ended @ 14 games.
ERA of Houston's pitcher for his .2 (two tenths) of the 8th inning=67.5. :lol2:
