Well this morning I had the son-in-law over to help with some of the chores that I've put off since summer and need to be handled before the snow flies. Any way he has a healthy respect for our bull, Sam the Bull, Today he decided to work at gaining Sam's trust and confidence by offering him a leaf of alfalfa to sort of mend fences so to speak. Anyway I thought that this was an OK idea...Sam had his breakfast but is always up for a snack and some fun with the son-in-law.
All was well with this operation, even calmed him down when Sam started a trot towards the son-in-law. He made it over to the old water tank that we use for a feed bunk in the bull pen and was holding the leaf over the tank for Sam to snack on...wish that I had my camera...I guess that I should have told him that cows have a tendenacy to bite hard and rip off mouthfulls of hay. I was sure that that boy was faster than that with his fingers...bet he looses his thumb nail.
Hard to act all concerned when your rolling in the mud laughing
your arse off...He's still a bit p'd-off at me...for laughing.
It's the little things that make my life such a picnic everyday.
Sure 'am thankfull for my family. One of thoes things that I thought needed sharing.

No...actually I thought that he would load his britches..sort of froze for a second...probably figured that Sam was going after bigger chunks of him.
