It's supposed to be 75f today!! Was 45 last night..I want cloudy and rain please. There are even butterflys flitting about!!

Peg, it's the same here. We need rain badly, also. And, the fluctuations in the temp are rotten. It's never stayed cold enough to really kill those miserable flies...and everybody has a runny nose and is coughing. Yuck on this weather pattern.

We just had our winter like last week, when it got down to the 30s for several days in a row. Winter has come and gone for us already. You must have blinked and missed it.

I must be getting old. There was a time I could blink and at least catch the tail end of it. If that was winter then the spring rains should be starting any day now. Right???Z

Well, the wether guys are saying we've got a chance of rain Mon. mabe if all things go right.

Was driveing in the other day--foggy,starting to lift. Was running a back road 'cause of the fog..anyways,the fog was lifting the sun was behind me ,and the leaves were glowing!! Chestnut,bay,yellow-green,some(very few) flame and orange. All on a background of pine and cedar green and olive brown..We do have color in Texas, you have to be in the right place at the right time..

They are now talking El Nino and the rains next week are the start of it. Last El Nino we got soaked and soaked. That would be nice.

No you haven't missed the cold weather yet. It is coming. Farmer's Alamanac says January will bring record breaking cold to our parts.

We've already had more days this year at less than 30 and 20 degrees than all of the winter 05-06.

Historically, the coldest winters follow the droughts. So, get ready. :D

Yep-- they are talking El Nino...I sure hope so-- you guys get the rain/snow and we get above normal temps and open winters with little snow... So far its feeling that way with temps in the 40's the last few days-- and with 50 mph winds yesterday and predicted 70 mph winds today its just about got most of our early snow melted and everything brown again....

A brown Christmas around here means the cows can graze longer....I'd just as soon get the moisture in rain in May and June....
