That tornado last p.m. was too close for comfort. It was on the ground 1 3/4 miles from me but the storm effects were horrendous. The house is west of Thorp Spring, Texas. Tornado went from Hico to Duffau to Rock Church to Tolar and then on to Dennis and then Weatherford. When it left tolar I left the television. I turned up the volume to hear it but could not see it.

The wife is in San Angelo so me and the three dogs got into the shelter part of the house. First time to actually use that reinforced hallway as a shelter.

The flashlights were ready. We have 8 coal oil lamps and they were already filled enough to use. We never lost power and didn't need any of it.

I'm up in Coweta OK. Got here a few days ago. Their is a 12 inch deep tub in the back yard had a couple inches of water in it when we got here. Started raining 2 days ago and filled it up. Stopped raining early this afternoon but water is still running everywhere. Be nice if i could haul some back home.

Wind was pretty fierce last night. Worse than the night before. Had some hail both nights.

Glad you were untouched. Just a trace of rain here in Schulenburg. Cracks in the ground starting to appear, again.
