Wife was gone and I was feeling thin in the skin
I don't have pic's but I remember most of what I put in it

Steak
Chicken breast
Boudin sausage taken out of casing
Breakfast sausage
About the same amount of each cut into bite size pieces

Seasoned with garlic pepper, cajun spice, crushed peppers(in skaker bottle in cabinet?)
Put breakfast sausage in 1st and cooked some and scrambled up then added steak and chicken till mostly done
added boudin last.
Then poured in 1 can of rotel and covered and simmered low and slow for 20-30 min.
Then uncovered and turned up the temp till it cooked down and wasn't runny/soupy.

I was able to make a couple meals from it
I made burrito's/taco's with it with flour tortilla's, cheese, lettuce, tomatos
Rolled a few in corn tortilla's coverd with cheese and nuked it to melt the cheese

Pretty good stuff

You trying to eat her out of house and home?

I'm a fairly healthy feller, getting a little too healthy maybe
Last time I bought britches I was as big around as tall, so I must be as tall laying down as standing up

In other words " you ain't missing any meals!". You could allways freak her out and go buy a bunch of vegetables before she comes home! Maybe she'll feel bad and get you a beef steak!!?

Sounds great. Sure would go well with some fried potatoes and onions maybe with some roasted chili's in them too!

cross...I got about 8 pair of Wranglers I've had for 3-4 years....gonna have to send them to the cleaners and get about 2 inches knocked off the length. :lol2: Would be nice if I could put about 4 inches of elastic in the waistband too. :cry2:

Wife said boy let me show you how it's done
Everything the same as above except she cooked all the meat then added spanish rice, cream of chicken soup and mixed all together then layered it and tortilla chips in a casserole dish

I told her she is a better cook than me so she gets to keep the job

What is the difference between Tex/Mex and Mexican?

the boudin sausage and cream of chicken soup ;) Tex-Mex is Mexican food with an American spin on it. Most food served at Mexican restaurants is not traditional Mexican fare. Tacos in Mexico are not the same as those served here.

Don't know about y'all, but IMO "Tex-Mex" has a lot of cheese and chili con carne on it and some hot Ro-Tel to boot.

I once heard that in Mexico "Tacos" were considered "Tourist Food" and not real authentic Mexican fare.
