test steer

O.k.,

I'm actually feeling pretty good about prices. Sent a "test" steer to the stockyard, a 5 weight, brought 1.05 and he had some ear to him. I'm liking what I see. Same time last year the same steer would have brought .90 to .95.

Anyone else "test" the waters???

We sold one solid red Simm cross heifer this week at the local sale barn. She weighed 680 and brought 92 cents. We were satisfied.

I test something almost every week. Seems like the week I don't take anything and need to buy they are higher.
