Has anyone here had any experience with this product? Possibly looking to utilize if it does what it says - thickens grass roots/stand and increases pasture carrying capacity on mixed grass pasture (orchard grass, clover and timothy).

It contains only microbes. You can grow your own microbes by taking care of your soil, it needs manure, and the more the grass is fertilized, the more grass grows, and the more grass, the more roots and manure, thus more grass, and so on. If grassland does not produce sufficiently it likely needs more nutrients or longer rests between grazing.

If one applies microbes to land with poor nutrient status or overgrazed land, the microbes will just starve. And if the soil and plants are fed what it needs, you have microbes naturally.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry to have posted same question twice.

The real issue is has anyone actually used this product and, if so, what were your results.

I did not fetilize this past year; I think we have been overfertilizing over the past several years. The co-op is in the business of selling product. We have maintained a fairly thick stand of grass and am wondering if this stuff helps to maintain at a lower cost than pelletized fertilizer.

There is plenty of manure to drag.

If you think you have been over fertilizing the soil sample test results should bear that out.
