Tend-R-Leen

Help Support CattleToday:

I know some people who use it and sware by it. I also know people who will not use it because tenderizing an animal on the hoof and being warned not to eat the meat until it has been off of tend-r- leen for 30 to 45 days is a bit unsettling to them. I guess it's up to the individual. I don't like the sound of it myself. But to each his own. 8)

Are you talking about the no roughage Doboy product? We used to use it on dairy steers and had pretty good luck with it. Most feed companies seem to have a similar program, we have also used Hubbard and Land-O-Lakes. The only reason we changed brands was because of cheaper prices for bulk delivery.

I'm guessing it is something different than what ctlbaron mentioned.

Yeah , I think so Chris. This stuff is supposed to tenderize the meat while he is finishing out before slaughter. I'm just a little leary of it.
