Only 7 and it's already started to warm up. Gone from 0.4 to 0.8 in the past hour. In not time at all it will be clear up to double digits.
Yes, I'm tired of winter

At 8am, it was a balmy 18F, break out the swimming trunks!

You know it's cold when the pen cattle are waiting at the water trough each morning for you to break it. I've had an audience morning and night for the last week.

We had 4 degrees here this A.M. Snow and Ice coming in tonight. Anyone ever heard of Batteries freezing.? Mine did last night.

Double digits already!
The only time I've had batterys freeze was if the acid content was low in the fluid. It's one of those, "Gee, I knew that battery was getting weak and should have been replaced" type of deals.

These batteries are less than a month old. Deka brand. They're going back where they came from TODAY!

Yeah..they can freeze. If they are rundown.. hopefully they give your money back or replace it.but I would not count on it...

Have to thaw them before they will take a charge.

That's the reason we're here and not further north. The problem with average temps is they take into consideration both highs and lows. You forget about the temps that are only half or less of the average highs. This time next year we'll have to be in the 80s to make this year fall into anything like the average.
Back in the 40s we moved from WI to WA, dad maintaned that you don;t have to shovel rain. But when we'ld get a couple of inches of snow he'ld sure start to think about not being prepared for it like we had been in WI.

Found that you have to keep a full charge on the batteries inorder to winter over. We're expecting zero overnight this week, a little extra feed for the cows and they do just fine.
It is funny to see the beards on them from the hoar frost.

The possible light flurrys that were maybe going to get here tonight are here now and it's snowing hard and starting to accumulate already
