Couldn't get any comments on the show board. She weighs about 420. DOB 5/23/06. Chiangus w/ a little simmmi.

Ignore the big gap in front of her shoulder that was a clipping boo-boo.

She is pretty green, but has potential I really like her front end. I would like to see a picture in 120-150 days after she is on feed.

Narrow, short-bodied, not very deep, and lacking in muscle. I don't think she would make a show heifer. It's naive to think it's possible she might develop into something showy. She can't improve on what she doesn't have.

She is green and rather plain. I would agree that another look in a couple of months could make some difference. Good luck with her.

I see the Chi in the hip.

My question is what are your intentions? Are you trying to develop something with that cross?

I just do not see her being as bad as everyone is making her out to be. She is like 4 or 5 months old in this pic. Don't see her winning some Major, but for a local county show she might develop OK. Lots of different levels of Show cattle what is your intentions with her?

We breed Chiangus and Chimaine, trying to breed out some of the sim. Our intentions for her would be to feed her real well this winter and take her to smaller shows, county fairs, 4H, etc. The only large show we attend (usually) is the association Jr. Nationals and we take all of our Chis there, but we have NO disillusions of winning. Thanks for your comments.

I always say, Never say Never. Right now, I don't see her as Show Calf material because of her trashy neck, and being so pinched in the heart. She is pretty blocky in her design, just not smooth enough............that could change with cover, hair, and fitting. The neck is only going to get worse.

The cow is half sim, gettin old, and not much to look at, she puts all she has into her calf even though she's getting fed twice a day, but she still raises a very nicec calf every year.

Weighed the calf today about 480 and 46 inches at hip. (the 420 was about 3 weeks ago, pics were taken almost 2 weeks ago.) We're going to put a sweat on her neck when we bring her in.

well she's built like her mama. the best advice I have is that you need to pour the feed to her plus have a great set of hair to pull it off but it might suprise us all. Dont ever give up on her though.
