Thats not true; and I dont know about Texas, but I can tell you half those taxes dont exist in Oklahoma. Additionaly, many of those listed, that do actually exist today, did in fact exist 100 years ago.

There most certainly was a National Debt 100 years ago. Part of the selling point to get the individaul states to sign the constitution was the federal government would assume the individual state debts for fighting the war. Dont believe me, look it up.
 
Just read the other day that 54 cents out of every dollar earned is being paid in taxes in the U.S. now.

I just read that we're spending $3 billion a week in Iraq. But we know that we can't believe everything we read.

Today's cost is $12 billion per month including Afghanistan and Iraq.

How much of that comes back home in the form of a paycheck?

P.S. You're sounding terribly "Political" here. :lol:
